A Little Bit About How We Got Here

The story of Maritz is a unique tale of longevity, adaptation and continuous evolution. In 1894, Edward Maritz started the E. Maritz Jewelry Manufacturing Company, a wholesaler and manufacturer of fine jewelry and engraved watches. During the Great Depression, the company began to sell watches, jewelry and merchandise to large companies – creating a sales incentive and employee rewards business. As the world changes, we continue to transform our organization to meet the changing needs of companies, their customers and their workers.

Today, we are a multi-solution company that empowers our clients to achieve their full potential through understanding, enabling and motivating employees, channel partners and customers.

  • It’s clear that as a leader in the events industry we have a unique opportunity to help this cause, as our teams, our clients and their guests travel the world and find themselves in many places where human trafficking is happening – airports, hotels and transportation hubs. In2013, Maritz was the first company in the meetingsand events space tosign the Tourism Child-Protection Code of Conduct, and we have continued to lead the way in supporting efforts across our industry.
